Yard Waste Grinding
INVITATION TO BID
Sealed submissions for qualifications from contractors will be received by the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Branch, for Yard Waste Grinding, Contract No. 08-04.
We will be accepting bid submissions from contractors for yard waste grinding in New Castle County. DNREC, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Branch (SHWMB) seek contractors to perform grinding/mulching services at three yard waste sites in New Castle County. This invitation to bid is issued pursuant to 29 Del. C. §§ 6981 and 6982.
The contractor is responsible to ensure the removal of inappropriate debris (such as metal, plastic, lumber) and grinding yard waste into mulch. The contractor will enter into a contract for a one year period and the contract may be extended for one (1) additional one (1) year period.

A response to this ITB must be submitted no later than 3:00 PM EDT on Tuesday, May 27, 2008, to be considered. The ITB must be submitted to: DNREC-SHWMB, Attention Sherry Bourgeois, Richards and Robinson Building, 89 Kings Highway, Dover, Delaware 19901.
The MANDATORY PRE-BID MEETING will be held in Conference Room B, DNREC Building, 391 Lukens Drive, New Castle, Delaware 19720 on Monday, May 12, 2008, at 10:00.
The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control, Solid and Hazardous Waste Management Branch, reserves the right to reject any and all submissions for just cause and to waive irregularities in the Request for Qualifications documents. Submissions are especially invited from Minority Business Enterprises and Women’s Business Enterprises (MBE/WBE).
