How can I get information from the Division of Air and Waste Management?
DAWM has several published reports that are available online or that can be mailed or picked up on request. These reports range from the Annual Air Quality Report to the Toxics Release Inventory. If you are unsure which program to contact for information, click Sections and Branches for a description of what each group does. From there, you can check to see if the information you want is online, or use the search function.
Information can also be obtained from the Department through the Freedom of Information Act, or FOIA. The process is generally used to obtain public documents like facility permits or Department correspondence. FOIA requests can be filed online or by writing a letter to the FIOA Coordinator, Division of Air and Waste Management, 89 Kings Highway, Dover, DE 19901. Generally, the more specific your request the faster we will be able to respond.
FOIA requests do not need to be submitted for documents intended for public distribution. If the document is not on the website or you would like a hard copy, call the section that produced the document.
