The Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC) has adopted a new regulation that will reduce air emissions from Delaware’s existing, uncontrolled, stationary combustion turbine electric generating units. The reason for the new regulation is to protect public health, safety, and welfare from the nitrogen oxides (NOx) which are emitted from these units.
